Discovering ancient Egyptian amulets and charms in museums was the first time I became interested in designing Hint Jewelry. I loved the meaning captured in each tiny sculpture and spent countless hours wondering who had worn it and what their life had been like.

Many of the remnants leftover from ancient civilizations come to us in the form of jewelry because often artifacts are found buried tombs where people were dressed in their finest attire for the afterlife.

I find it touching that the ancients believed jewelry had the ability to protect and care for people both while living and during their afterlife. Adornment is one of the few things you can give to another person to carry with them after their death.

So it's no wonder that symbols of protection, good fortune, and transformation are some of the most powerful ancient charms that we wear as jewelry today.
