Learning Forgiveness for Ourselves and Others

Be Forgiveness: a book by Beth Hemmila
I believe we find our own unique way to forgive ourselves and others.

However, sometimes it's helpful to have tools to aid in the discovery process. Like looking up at a mountain and wondering how the heck you are going to be able to make it to the top, adding some tools to your backpack provides a level of trust that strengthens your faith in the climb.

So I love having a toolbox to share: Forgiveness techniques that others can use, adapt for themselves, ditch so as to invent their own, or through working with tools realize that they don't need anything extra for their journey. All of these experiences touch my soul in different ways.

My FREE ebook Be Forgiveness includes a variety of techniques that help you explore and discover the experience of forgiveness for yourself: self-judgment, gratitude, and undiscriminating kindness towards others.

  1. I don't know if I ever forgive, especially if I have been hurt deeply.. what I will do, is not dwell on it/the person that caused it... I figure the energy given to that is a waste.. and they're not worth spending that energy on. Also, I never forget.. what a double edge sword! lol

    1. I know what you mean! I felt this way for a long time. In this movie The Power of Forgiveness scientists measured body responses to forgiveness and apparently women may say they have let go but actually have a more difficult time of processing forgiveness than men. http://thepowerofforgiveness.com/

I thought that was so interesting because I have struggled so much to really learn how to let go of the past. Now if I remember the past I have this other way of thinking about it that has come out of writing this book.

I'd love for you to share your ideas and stories on my blog! Please know that I may not always be able to e-mail you a direct response, so be sure to check back to my blog and continue the dialogue. Many blessings for connecting with me through word and image :)
