Wind Horse, Beth Hemmila (Hint Jewelry): sterling silver year of the horse charm

Happy Year of the Wood Horse!

What I wouldn't give to be born under the Chinese Zodiac symbol of the Horse!! What a wonderfully powerful and sensitive creature to have as the reigning sign in your life.

Hint Jewelry has two horse charms to celebrate the Year of the Horse one called Wind Horse and the other Free Spirit.

  2. just read the article and omg never knew that about the intuition characteristic... no wonder my gut is always involved!.. I wondered why my Grandma would always ask for my opinion on things- the silliest of things- like which pkg. of meat to choose... There are times when I would make a choice and not quite feel right and sure enough I was kicking myself later on.... btw u got me thinking about a necklace... my birthstone is ruby- do u have a gem in your inventory that could pair up w/the horse?

    1. Wow, how neat that you have honored and developed this trait of intuition in yourself! And seen when you ignore it :) I do have a ruby. They tend not to be deep deep blood red. It's the #2 gem in the can picture here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/61290840/personalized-birthstone-charm-necklaces?ref=shop_home_active_1

I also used the same rubies in this necklace so you can see them in a different way: https://www.etsy.com/listing/175509699/geisha-dreams-one-of-a-kind-necklace?ref=shop_home_active_5

Happy Year of the Horse, beautiful light!!

    2. the second link reminds me of cherry blossoms... is there a big difference in the two horse charms? meaning is the wood horse more identified w/the year of the horse? if i go w/the bigger charm would the silver ball chain be better to carry the weight? if so what length do u suggest... and I am guessing that the gem could be taken off if I wanted?

    3. I'm not sure if one horse has more symbolic significance over the other. I like the idea of Wind Horse because it implies inner power and exuberance, but then the little horse intrigues me because it honors that quiet space of the spirit. The ball chain or the 16-18" sterling chain necklace in my shop would hold the bigger Wind Horse charm equally as well. If you want to put it on a necklace you already own, some of my previous chain was not as durable and the Free Spirit charm might be better suited. If you are going to wear it casually with button up blouses and tops I'd at least go with something that's 18." If you want to wear it more over sweaters I'd go with maybe longer somewhere between 20" to 24." If you want a custom length that I don't have in my shop just email me and I'll set it up for you. The gem will be removable and can slide on and off.

  3. I have a 24 inch ball chain that has a 2 inch oriel that Virginia made for me... is that the same weight chain that would go w/the large wind horse charm? if so, I like that length

    1. It's probably the same weight chain. The ball chain I have is sort of in the middle and most people use this kind; however, I can't be certain what Virginia used. I created a custom listing for a 24" ball chain necklace here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/177789016/24-inch-sterling-silver-2mm-bead-ball?ref=shop_home_active_1

You choose the finishing -- plain silver or antiqued.

  4. I don't think I have ever seen the antique finish of the ball chain... so do I also add on the gem and charm? or can u make a listing for the complete necklace?

    1. For an example of what antiqued ball chain looks like, check out this listing: https://www.etsy.com/listing/40449554/16-inch-sterling-silver-2mm-bead-ball?ref=shop_home_active_13

Yes, add each item separately to your cart. This is how I am keeping track of inventory now. Thank you!!
